Manage social media for businesses. If you have a knack for social media, you could potentially get paid to manage various platforms for others. Many businesses are too busy running day-to-day operations to stay on top of their Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts – and will pay someone with the knowledge and time to do it for them. To find these jobs, ask local businesses and check sites like UpWork.com and Problogger.net.


Understand where people are at in the buying cycle and promote accordingly. Spend the most time sharing affiliate links where people are ready to buy. For example, you can share affiliate links on Pinterest, but most people are not on Pinterest to buy but to look. As such, focusing your affiliate marketing strategy on Pinterest might not be the best use of your time. Review posts, for example, might be better at tipping people over the line into buying.
Having some sort of background in ecommerce, marketing or your niche will go a long way. If you have marketing experience, you’re more likely to succeed as a dropshipper. The most important part of running a store is getting sales and marketers know how to get them with ease. If you have a background in ecommerce, you’ll have an understanding in how to run a store which reduces time spent learning. If you’re an expert in the niche of your store, it’ll be easy for you to understand the needs of your customers. Also, it’ll make producing content on social media or your blog easier for you. If you don’t have experience with ecommerce, marketing or your niche, it’s best to take some time to learn some more before quitting. When you quit your job to start your own business you want to make sure you have a strong chance of succeeding. This will help prevent you from ever having to return to the 9 to 5.
Always fill out the comment box to “sell” your platform. If you are given the opportunity to explain why you are interested in a program, do it! Use the space to highlight why you would be an asset to the program. Talk about how your audience is their audience. Talk about the size of your mailing list (if it’s significant). When you're interviewing coaches (you can do an online search for career coaches or personal coaches in your area, or ask around for a reference), you'll want to hire the one that will help you walk your way into your own answers vs. telling you what you should or should not be doing. No one else knows what's best for you but you (I'll say that more than once), but a savvy coach will be able to help you tap into and explore what feels right to you without "telling" you what they think it is and if it's quitting your job.
